It is time-consuming to convert from a standard MiDi file for drums to AD format. I like the way the MiDi mapping gives you several 'aspects' of the snare for example. I tried switching AD2 to the standard mapping, and that just made a mess of my sounds, re-mapping them to different sounds, even though I didn't re-record. phibeck wrote: I have an addictive drums demo (1 kick, 1 snare and a couple of cymbals) and I must say that Im impressed. The ones I play on the pad are present if you click on the keyboard in the editor, but the ones which aren't mapped don't even seem to register if you hit the key in the editor. Well, in Cubase, when I tried it the other night, it seems like something about the way AD2 is mapped (I have a custom map) is causing the MIDI editor not to have all the notes present and accounted for in terms of mapping to sounds. These MIDI mapping presets are helpful, if you want to use the grooves and fills from MT-PowerDrumKit together with the drum samples of another drum plugin. Thereafter, I could move notes to different notes for the different sounds (say I wanted to move something to a different version of a cymbal, or add a cymbal, etc.). So.in FL, I'd play notes on my drum pad (Akai MPD-232), and they'd go to the correct notes on the piano roll (read: MIDI editor). I'm a fairly recent convert from FL Studio, btw. I've been using Addictive Drums 1 & 2 for years.
